Multiplication Block Santa Christmas Craft
This 3rd grade Resource was designed for students in Kern County at an expanding level.
Spread holiday cheer while reinforcing multiplication concepts with this fun and educational Multiplication Block Santa Christmas Craft! Perfect for 3rd-grade students, this activity combines math and creativity as students build a festive Santa and practice writing multiplication facts in three ways:
- Equal Groups: Students illustrate and describe their multiplication fact using visual groupings.
- Repeated Addition: Break down multiplication into simpler repeated addition equations.
- Commutative Property: Show how the order of factors doesn’t change the product.
Each student designs their own paper Santa “block,” with spaces to record and decorate their work.
UDL Scaffolds:
Representation: Visual Models: Students use equal groups and repeated addition
ELD Scaffolds:
Collaborative: Pair ELL students with a buddy for support and collaboration on the craft.
