This interactive group project allows middle school students to explore the history and development of the Ohlone civilization, from its medieval roots to contemporary times. Using the G.R.A.P.E.S. framework (Geography, Religion, Achievements, Politics, Economics, and Social Structure), students will conduct guided research and create a multimedia presentation that highlights key aspects of Ohlone culture and history.

Students will:

• Investigate Ohlone geography, culture, and societal structures.
• Develop collaborative research skills by using approved sources.
• Create visually appealing slides in Google Slides or Canva, incorporating maps, images, and explanatory captions.
• Showcase creativity through 3-D artifacts, flat visuals, and timelines.
• Conclude the project with reflections on what they learned.
