Educator Pre-Work: Identity and Positionality

A robust and authentic Ethnic Studies course requires students to look critically at their identities and positionalities. The hope is that after learning about and placing value on their different ways of being, students are empowered to create positive change in their communities. Before expecting our students to engage in this social justice work, we must do the deep dive ourselves. 

The following exercises are designed to support a teacher new to teaching Ethnic Studies at the K-12 level.
