The Booth Brothers: Drama, Fame, and the Death of President Lincoln 7 Lessons

A series of seven lessons based on the nonfiction book The Booth Brothers: Drama, Fame, and the Death of President Lincoln. The lesson was created by the author of the book, Rebecca Langston-George, a teacher in Kern County, for a class of 7th graders including bridging English language learners. Students will be asked to analyze and take notes on the interactions between individuals, events and ideas surrounding the Civil War, chart what they know about the Civil War and the assassination of President Lincoln, and plan and present an oral presentation by the end of the unit.

The unit includes three graphic organizers, exit tickets and a feedback form for the oral presentation, all of which can be copied and distributed to students.
