Lessons feature a small group activity, collaborative discussions, and a short writing sample on 18 types of figurative language. Sentence frames are provided for both the written and discussion elements. Students ultimately create a Figurative Language Chart that can be utilized in future lessons on reading and analyzing language in literature.
