PreKindergarten Math Curriculum
Students explore two and three-dimensional shapes, compare length, weight, and capacity, addition and subtraction stories, and counting to 20.
Pre-Kindergarten mathematics is about
- Developing an understanding of whole numbers using concrete materials, including concepts of correspondence, counting, cardinality, and comparison
- Describing shapes in their environment. More learning time in Pre-Kindergarten should be devoted to developing the concept of number than to other topics.
