Nathan Williamson's 1920s and 1930s Final Project
In this collection, I will be presenting artifacts from the 1920's and 1930's. These decades vastly contrast each other in terms of the social and economic health of the United States of America. The 1920's were home to the Harlem Renaissance, an expansion of credit spending, Prohibition, and a rethinking of science and religion. However, just a few years later, in the 1930's, America saw a major economic decline with the stock market crash and the beginning of the Great Depression. The stark differences between these decades are seen in the photographs, art, and artifacts from that time period.
