Playing Well: Lego Therapy
How can building with Legos(and other building brands) positively impact the stress and anxiety of adults?
Lego building blocks provide a creative and structured environment for children to play in that helps to keep them occupied. Legos have been noted as being beneficial towards the cognitive development of children in areas such as problem solving, creativity, planning, and STEM skills. But have you ever considered that Lego can also be beneficial to the well-being of the adult mind? This exhibition introduces the Lego brand and its original purpose as a toy and then how in the year 2021 the building blocks have become a key contributor to the mental well-being of many adults like myself.
