Nilsa Marsh: Comparison of the 1920s to the 1950s
The 1920s and the 1950s both came right after the end of a World War. Both decades saw capitalistic prosperity for the most part as well as a good national feeling. However, where the 1920s was partially about rebellious city life, the 1950s focused on suburban conformity. The 20s and 50s are some of the most comparable decades in American history.
