American Muslims: Facts vs. Fiction PSA Media Gallery
In this media gallery, students explore a set of short videos from American Muslims: Facts vs. Fiction. Each short film, in the style of a Public Service Announcement (PSA), covers a specific area connected to the representation and experience of Muslims in America. Topics include the roots of Islamophobia, the history of prejudice, myths about Muslims and terrorism, and a story about the response of a community of Muslims to a hate crime. In the teaching tips, students are asked to create their own PSA covering a related issue.
