Between Civilization and Nomadism: Asian Bronze-Age Pastoralists on the Edge of Civilization

Students will read a short description of the history of nomadic-pastoralists in the second century BCE. Then students will complete a chart by taking notes on the reading. Finally, students will use the reading and the notes to write a short essay on the connection between social organization and nomadic pastoralist’ environment and origins.
