This educational module adapted from the film On Two Fronts: Latinos & Vietnam examines the importance of veterans' memorials. Memorials are not value-neutral objects or places. They are purposefully designed with a specific purpose and message that the maker wants to communicate with the public. As public artifacts, they can often be controversial and spark dialogue about how we choose to collectively honor our veterans.
