Stacey Delikat reports on the role national party conventions play in the road to the election. Using the supporting lesson plan, students will explore the different parts of a national convention, learning specific vocabulary and processes that form the nomination process of the party candidate. Students will also learn the importance of language and appearance at the conventions in order to create cohesiveness within the party and begin campaigning for the actual election.
